New X2 CEO

Simon commenced his own business in 2001 forming a management consulting, marketing and business development operation which now trades as SMI Business Impact. During this time he has been a founding Director and shareholder of a number of ventures including Paradigm Total Salary Management Pty Ltd, Chalice Bridge Estate Wines out of the Margaret River in Western Australia and BioEnergy Australia.

The later entity grew sales from zero to $38 million over a 4 year period before being subject to an off-market takeover by a listed shareholder in 2008.

Previously, Simon spent some 15 years in financial services with Growth Equities Mutual, Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank and has been personally responsible for a $100 million annual investment budget.

He also held the position of Managing Director at Personal Financial Planners. He studied Valuation at the Curtin University Business School and was the immediate past President of the Penrhos College Foundation and member of the College Board.
